Due to differences in screens, lighting, photography and manufacturing processes, the appearance and colour of a physical product may vary slightly from photographs displayed online.

Natural materials such as timber may contain variations in grain, colour, texture and appearance. These natural variations are characteristic of the material and will not necessarily constitute a fault or defect.

Product specifications, dimensions and designs may also be subject to minor manufacturing variations.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received and no goods have been supplied, any amount owing to you will be refunded using an appropriate payment method.

Orders will not be considered fully paid until cleared funds have been received.

Payment in full is required before your order is placed.

7. Custom & Special Orders

Some of our Pilates equipment may be customised, specially manufactured or ordered specifically for you.

Customisation may include choices such as upholstery colour, frame or timber finish, equipment configuration, accessories or other product-specific options.

Customers are responsible for carefully checking and approving all selections before a custom or special order is confirmed.

Once a custom or special order has been confirmed and production or procurement has commenced, the order cannot be cancelled or changed simply because you change your mind.

This does not limit any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law where the product is faulty, does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee or you are otherwise entitled to a remedy.

Estimated production and delivery timeframes for custom orders are estimates only and may be affected by manufacturing, shipping, freight or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Delivery & Collection

Delivery and collection are subject to our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring suitable access for large Pilates equipment.

Unless otherwise agreed, standard delivery may be limited to an accessible ground-floor location.

You must notify us before delivery of stairs, lifts, narrow entrances, restricted parking, difficult access or other circumstances that may affect safe delivery.

Additional charges may apply where specialised delivery, additional personnel, redelivery, assembly or installation is required.

Customers collecting equipment are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriately sized vehicle and suitable means of safely transporting and securing the equipment.

9. Inspection Upon Delivery

We recommend inspecting your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery or collection.

If your equipment appears to have been damaged during transit, please notify The Reformer Shop promptly and provide photographs of the equipment, packaging and any visible damage.

Where your Shipping & Delivery Policy asks customers to report visible transit damage within 24 hours, this assists us in investigating the matter promptly with the relevant freight provider.

Failure to report freight damage within this timeframe does not remove any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Returns, Refunds & Consumer Guarantees

Returns, refunds, repairs and replacements are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

The Reformer Shop is not required to provide a refund or exchange simply because you change your mind, order the wrong product or decide you no longer want an item.

However, products sold by The Reformer Shop come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Depending on the circumstances and whether a failure is major or minor, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as provided by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

11. Equipment Use & Safety

Pilates apparatus contains moving parts, springs and resistance mechanisms and must be used correctly.

Customers and users are responsible for:

• reading and following supplied instructions and safety information;
• using equipment only for its intended purpose;
• ensuring equipment is correctly assembled and positioned;
• regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment;
• replacing worn or damaged components when required;
• ensuring users receive appropriate instruction and supervision; and
• stopping use immediately if equipment appears damaged, unstable or unsafe.

Where appropriate, we recommend learning to use Pilates apparatus under the guidance of a suitably qualified Pilates professional.

Children should not use or play on Pilates equipment without appropriate supervision.

12. Maintenance

Customers are responsible for carrying out appropriate routine inspection, cleaning and maintenance in accordance with our Maintenance & Care Instructions and any manufacturer recommendations supplied with the product.

Normal wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, misuse, improper storage, unauthorised modifications or damage caused by failure to appropriately maintain equipment may not constitute a product defect.

13. Commercial & Studio Use

Where equipment is purchased for a Pilates studio, gym, clinic or other commercial environment, the purchaser is responsible for ensuring that:

• the equipment is suitable for its intended environment;
• equipment is appropriately maintained and inspected;
• users are appropriately instructed or supervised;
• relevant workplace and safety requirements are followed; and
• damaged or unsafe equipment is removed from use until repaired.

14. Showroom Appointments

Visits to The Reformer Shop showroom are subject to our Showroom Visit Policy.

Trying equipment in our showroom is intended to assist with purchasing decisions and does not constitute a Pilates class, medical assessment, rehabilitation session or professional health consultation.

Visitors must follow staff instructions and use equipment safely and appropriately.

15. Health & Fitness Information

Information provided by The Reformer Shop about Pilates, exercise, movement, equipment or general wellbeing is for general informational purposes only.

It is not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physiotherapy, rehabilitation advice or individualised instruction from an appropriately qualified professional.

You are responsible for determining whether an activity or piece of equipment is appropriate for your individual circumstances and should seek professional advice where necessary.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Reformer Shop is not responsible for loss, injury or damage caused by misuse, incorrect assembly, inappropriate use, unauthorised modification, failure to maintain equipment or failure to follow supplied safety instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
